New Study shows that coffee helps burn fat as a pre-work out drink.
Fat Burning Coffee!
A new study suggests you can make a difference in fat burning by drinking coffee a half hour before you workout. This study was with 15 male volunteers so I’m not sure this is really scientific enough, but hey sounds good to me!
And, it was published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, so that says something!
The coffee dose was shown to increase maximal fat oxidation rate (MFO, a measure of how efficiently the body burns off fat) by an average of 10.7% in the morning and 29% in the afternoon.
I’ll go for anything that boosts the rate of fat burning and it’s more justification for my cup of coffee! We already know that caffeine is a stimulant associated with improved athletic performance.
