How Catfight Coffee Supports Pride, Minorities and Local Events in New Jersey
At Catfight Coffee, community activism isn’t a buzzword — it’s part of who we are. As a proudly independent coffee shop based in Boonton, New Jersey, we believe in supporting LGBTQ+ rights, small businesses, and local events that bring people together. But beyond that, we stand with those who are often pushed to the margins — minority communities, queer voices, artists, and the unapologetically different.
This Pride Month, we’re showing our support not just with words, but with action (and caffeine). We’re excited to take part in Boonton Rainbow Pride, where we’ll be celebrating love, self-expression, and the power of community. We’re also teaming up with our friends at Stokedville for a self-defense class at Montville Pride — because empowerment is a form of resistance. And we’ll be joining the magical chaos of Lunar Faire Pride, a festival that embraces the weird, the inclusive, and the wildly creative.
Of course, we had to create something special behind the bar, too. Our Marsha-Mellow Latte — made with blue matcha and topped with Lucky Charms marshmallows — is a tribute to LGBTQ+ icon Marsha P. Johnson, reminding us that Pride began as a protest.
But for us, activism goes beyond June and Pride month. We’re passionate about supporting minorities, local events, small businesses, artists, and alternative culture all year long. Whether it's vending at flea markets, collaborating with our neighbors, meeting our minority-owned farmers, or simply being a safe and affirming space for all — we see every cup of coffee as an opportunity to do something good.
If you’re searching for a coffee shop in New Jersey that supports Pride, minority voices, and local activism, we’re here, brewing bold and standing strong.
Come by and let’s keep building something beautiful together.
