Best European Cities for Coffee Lovers
At Catfight Coffee, we know that a perfect cup of coffee is more than just a drink—it's an experience. For those of you who share our passion for exceptional brews and are ready to explore the vibrant coffee culture of Europe, we've curated a list of the top cities where your coffee-loving heart will feel right at home.
Rome, Italy
Rome, the heart of Italian coffee culture, is where the espresso reigns supreme. Which makes sense since Tazza d'Oro is located right next to the Pantheon in the hear of Rome. Here, coffee is an art form, and every barista takes pride in their craft. Experience the elegance of Italian coffee traditions and the intensity (passion?) of the customers ordering their rich Italian espresso. Tazza d'Oro is something every coffee lover should experience at least once.
Paris, France
Parisian cafés are legendary, and for good reason. The city offers a perfect blend of stylish ambiance and top-notch coffee. Enjoy a classic Café au Lait at Les Deux Magots or Café de Flore, where literary giants once gathered. The art of people-watching with a croissant in hand makes Paris an ideal destination for those who appreciate both coffee and culture.
Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona's is on our 'to visit' list. The rumor is that the coffee scene is as vibrant and diverse as the city itself. From traditional cortados to innovative brews, there's something for every palate. I've heard we should check out Nomad Coffee or Satan's Coffee Corner for a modern twist on your favorite drink.
Berlin, Germany
Berlin is where I fell in love with a classic Cappuccino! Around 2002 I was staying in the Kreuzberg section of Berlin. The coffee scene is dynamic and evolved much like the city itself. Before that, all I had known was basically warm milk with espresso, which is not the same as a classic cappy! Since then, Berlin has become known for its artisanal coffee shops. The Barn and Bonanza Coffee Roasters are must-visits, offering everything from perfectly pulled espressos to complex filter coffees.
Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm takes its coffee seriously, with a focus on sustainability and craftsmanship. Not many people know this, but Scandinavia drinks more coffee per-capita than anywhere else in the world! In NYC you can experience Swedish Coffee at Konditorei (which translates to pastry shop or coffee shop). Or, experience it in Sweden at Kaffeverket or Drop Coffee, where you'll find some of the best brews in Scandinavia. The combination of high-quality coffee and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere is unbeatable.
At Catfight Coffee, we believe in celebrating the diverse and rich traditions of coffee around the world. These European cities offer a taste of the exceptional, each with its own unique coffee culture that is sure to delight and inspire.
